The agile Scrum Master during any scrum events makes sure everyone participates. Currently, I have been watching scrum masters during scrum events act as secretaries to their teams, setting up meetings on calendars but then during those events they are all quiet.

As a Scrum Master, one of your roles is to facilitate, and facilitating is to ensure everyone participates and in alignment with the information of the what.

Ensure that the scrum events take place, make sure that everyone understands what the meeting and purpose are about, and facilitate the events.

A great Scrum Master understands the organizational goals and ensures the team is on the right track toward achieving those goals.

Take for example the retrospective meeting is designed to identify areas of improvement and for the team to suggest possible solutions for more actions to be taken. A Scrum Master takes actions to follow up and make sure suggested solutions are being followed through and implemented.
