Fundrise is a real estate investment platform that allows people to invest in homes and buildings. The company was founded in 2012, and it has since raised $1 billion in funding.

The site offers two types of investments: residential and commercial. Residential investments include single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, five-unit apartments, and condominiums; commercial investments include retail spaces like retail stores or office buildings.

Fundrise also has a sister company called Fundrise Mortgage Lending (FML), which provides loans for home purchases with the goal of helping individual investors get into real estate.

Fundrise is a crowdfunding platform that connects investors with small businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups. They allow investors to invest in real estate projects that are currently “on paper” but not yet in operation.

Investments can range from $500 to $25 million, and they offer flexible terms and conditions. Investors receive 10% of their investment back as profit upon closing the deal, plus additional rewards such as free access to Fundrise’s platform and community events.

Investors can also earn an additional 5% by referring new investors to Fundrise!

Before Fundrise, investors were able to invest in real estate projects through traditional methods like private equity and venture capital. However, these methods were not always accessible, or accessible enough, for most people. For example, private equity firms require very high minimum investment amounts while venture capitalists generally require you to have a net worth of at least $1 million.

Fundrise has created a platform where investors can invest small amounts of money in real estate projects without having to worry about the process being too complicated. They do this through an application process where you simply fill out some information about yourself and your investment goals and they'll take care of everything else after that.

Fundrise model is simple: they buy your home and then sell it to you, at a discount, after the house is renovated.

They do this by taking on all the risk behind renovating your home—they don't have any money invested in their projects. Instead, they use the money they raise from investors to buy properties and renovate them, then sell them back to you as renovated homes.

The results are pretty amazing: Fundrise has been able to bring down the cost of houses by 20% (and sometimes more) in some markets. They've also been able to reduce home turnover rates from around 60% down to 15%.

This means that Fundrise is able to offer homes at prices similar or less than what comparable homes would cost if the developer was doing all the work on their own dime; and it also means that Fundrise can offer homes at prices similar or less than what comparable homes would cost if a developer had no way of getting financing for renovations without taking on too much risk themselves.
